Civic and Conservation Efforts

  • Included several members of the City’s River Rescue Team in our river training.
  • Adopted a section of the James River through the state’s Adopt-A-Stream program and regularly picks up trash and debris during our 100+ days we are on the river.
  • Has made financial contributions directly to James River Park.
  • Loaned rafts to County of Henrico Fire and Rescue during Hurricane Isabel. (see letters of recommendation)
  • Active in several organizations focused on the outdoors including:
    • James River Advisory Council
      • Member of “Richmond 2007” committee
      • Member of “James River Days” committee
    • James River Outdoor Coalition
      • Board member.
  • Donate many free rafting trips to organizations raising funds for their causes, often the James River Park.
    • Donations to benefit JRP include:
      • James River Association
      • James River Outdoor Coalition
      • Falls of the James Sierra Club
